Grady Memorial Hospital (GMH) Laboratory Services includes performance of a wide variety of tests to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment and management of disease and illness. The laboratory strives to provide 100% diagnostic testing accuracy every time, and maintains excellence in each of the 35,000+ tests it performs each month. In most cases, lab results are available the same day.
If your provider has requested lab work for you, we will assist you in pulling your provider's orders, collecting the proper specimens, and completing all tests required. Although the laboratory never closes for hospital inpatients and Emergency Department use, we ask patients to visit us during these general laboratory service hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:00am-5:00pm
Saturday/Sunday: CLOSED
Your tests results at Grady Memorial Hospital will be diagnosed by a certified MD, Pathologist and Certified Medical Technologists. The Department of Laboratory, Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) is available to both inpatients and outpatients with many diagnostic tests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. In addition, it caters for non-common tests and provides liaison with a few external laboratories including Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) for tests not available within our scope of services.
